Dr. Chirag Patel has been practicing nephrology for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience in the care of patients with kidney disease. He has taken care of over 10,000 patients with kidney disease. Dr. Patel received his medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois, and his fellowship in nephrology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. Dr. Patel is a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN). He is also a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a lecturer in the department of medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine. He is also the medical director of the Fresenius Kidney Care Norridge dialysis unit. Dr. Patel is passionate about providing his patients with the highest quality care possible. He takes the time to get to know each of his patients and their individual needs. He is also committed to providing his patients with the latest information and treatments for kidney disease. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Patel is also active in research. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at national and international conferences.
