Sejal Patel, MD is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She graduated from her Internal Medicine residency at Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation’s first hospital in the United States. She then went on to complete her Nephrology fellowship at Wayne State University. Through 20 years of experience, she has been treating patients with multiple medical conditions involving the changing field of nephrology. Every patient has different goals and needs so it is important to view each patient differently. So as a nephrologist, Dr. Patel designs individual treatment plans that are tailored for each patient to achieve the best possible outcomes. As a patient, she believes you deserve her undivided attention during your appointment. She provides important education so you can navigate your disease course in the best way. She will work with you and your other medical physicians in order to have a cohesive comprehensive plan. As a nephrologist, she plays a critical role in the management of your kidney disease and is instrumental in helping you maintain kidney function and quality of life. Her passion is driven by the bonds she builds with her patients over the course of their lives and the happiness she holds in keeping them happy and healthy. Dr. Patel has twenty years of experience in nephrology, with a special interest in chronic kidney disease, dialysis intervention, acute kidney injury, hypertension, electrolyte imbalance, and kidney stones. She is also an interventional nephrologist and has extensive training in dialysis access complications. Therefore, she can assist in many different avenues of care. She is an active member of the community and well-regarded at multiple hospitals where she is on staff since graduating from fellowship. When Dr. Patel isn’t at work, she loves spending time with her family which gives her balance in her life.
