Dr. Anca Zegrean is a highly experienced nephrologist originally from Romania, currently practicing in Lake County, Illinois. With a passion for kidney health and a commitment to patient care, Dr. Anca Zegrean has dedicated over15 years to diagnosing and treating a wide range of renal conditions. After completing medical school at the prestigius University George Palade in Romania, Dr. Zegrean pursued postgraduate training in Nephrology, at University of Illinois in Chicago, gaining extensive knowledge in both clinical practice and research. Following this training, Dr. Zegrean moved to the Northern Suburbs, seeking the opportunity to practice in Chicagoland area, allowed for a diverse patient population and collaboration with leading experts in the field. Dr. Zegrean is known for a holistic approach to patient care, emphasizing the importance of educating patients about their conditions and involving them in their treatment plans. Areas of special interest include chronic kidney disease, hypertension, kidney stones, electrolyte abnormalities and kidney transplantation. Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Zegrean enjoys exploring the cultural richness of Chicago, hiking, playing tennins, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Also speaks Romanian and Spanish, she is dedicated to ensuring that all her patients receive compassionate and comprehensive care.
